Protect Your Motors: Prevent Premature Bearing Failure with Aaki’s Motor Shaft Grounding Modules

Many of today’s electric motor applications require the ability to control a motor’s speed, often achieved using Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs).

VFDs can generate voltages and currents in the motor’s shaft, resulting in arcing or discharge through the motor bearing to the housing.  These discharges can occur hundreds of times per second.

Over time, this action causes the bearings to pit, resulting in premature failure.

Aaki’s Motor Shaft Grounding Modules help prevent this failure by rerouting the damaging currents from the shaft to the motor housing bypassing the bearings, ensuring years of reliable service.
